40/40 sets versus staff+20enchant versus?
I would like feedback on what you all think about staffs versus scepter/focus? Seems like mostuse staffs to solo because of the mix +20 enchant for mixed spells but is a 40/40 set better. For example what do you recommend... I use a scepter/focus fire set of 40/20 +30 health for most PVE, a Adept Earth Staff of Enchanting with a perfect "Aptitude not Attitude" inscription for solo farming?

switch to your staff when casting enchantments, and to your 40/40 when casting non-enchantment spells of its attribute.

I wonder about +30 health versus the extra 20% for set? I would think for PVP 40/40 is best and for PVE +30. I might be wrong. Maybe I am just to crazy about it.... I think I will just go with 40/40 sets for both fire and earth builds and be done with it. Seems like to much problems to switch during fighting even with hot keys.... Is the +30 really worth it when you have Survivor armor?

Extra health is useless unless you dip below that amount. Unless you find yourself being saved by that 30 health, it might as well not be there. Other bonuses, such as +armor (in regard to armor), +enchant%, and reduce casting time/spell recharge will always be working, so if you have no problems surviving then don't waste slots on +health stuff.

+health is bad on staves or foci. better to use more hct/hsr and leave the defensive mods to your defensive set.

This. Generally +armor mods prevent more damage than the + health from mods, and in the long run grants more survivability.

if you need the extra health switch to the defensive set. if you're casting enchantments use your staff. otherwise use your 40/40

Agree on +30 health. So best option seems to have a 40/40 set for most of your specefic spells and then weapon swap to a +20 enchant when needed? Do you agree? Thanks for the information.
